Role Expectations

The Data Support Analyst (DSA)  is responsible for supporting the ever-changing technology and system needs of the staff and graduation candidates at our academies across the national network as well as the central support team. The Data Support Analyst’s objective is to manage the  highly nuanced systems that support Acceleration Academies’ academic and non-academic programs. This will be accomplished through collaboration with all stakeholder groups, making sure that network systems are meeting the specific local needs in each academy and ensure all users are trained to use the systems efficiently. Training and support is provided both at the academy site and remotely. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work well with others, have a collaborative spirit, be an active and willing participant of the Network team and lead with a customer service mindset. 

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Collect, compile, and analyze data from multiple educational systems (Edgenuity, Naviance, MAP, etc.)
  • Provide technical support (remote and deskside) for our national team
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with our third party vendors to resolve product issues
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data from multiple educational systems (Edgenuity, Naviance, MAP, etc.)
  • Acquires and analyzes student recruitment, engagement and retention data
  • Provides data uploads and assists with the development of accurate data reports
  • Train and support users on software 
  • Work with reporting software (Tableau, etc), Microsoft Excel
  • Work with collaboration and time management tools
  • Support the development and use of student information system software
  • Develop training processes and guides for products/software
  • Manage prioritization of tasks and projects
  • Support the development of complex, embedded systems that require knowledge of schematic design, product design, and prototype testing
  • Think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions
  • Adapt quickly to obstacles and changing demands
  • Evaluate systems and make recommendations for improvements and solutions
  • Collaborate with Academy and central support team members, understand their system needs
  • Work with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 3+ years’ experience providing all levels of data analysis, along with system & application support
  • Local to Chicago, but open to travel 25-50% (our campuses are located in Nevada, South Carolina, Florida, Washington State)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability, with an encouraging and supportive attitude
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize and integrate them
  • Experience with account management and technical contract review
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work independently, and be a self-starter
  • A creative and thoughtful approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and work well independently
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures and ability to analyze data to solve problems
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills that strike a balance among validation/verification, requirements analysis, customer interaction and project oversight
  • Flexible and easily adaptable
